Asustek’s 18.4-inch Asus NX90Jq multimedia notebook with an innovative design and SonicMaster audio technology is now available for purchase. Several e-tailers in the U.S. are offering the NX90Jq-A1 model, which features the Intel Core I7-720QM 1.6GHz quad-core processor, Nvidia GeForce GT335M 1GB dedicated graphics, 8GB od DDR3 memory, 1.28TB of storage using dual 640GB hard disks, and a Blu-ray Combo drive.
Its LED-backlit 18.4″ display has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.
According to the company, incorporated SonicMaster audio technology co-developed with Bang & Olufsen provides “the best codec and highest-powered notebook amplifier available” which “delivers wider sonic range, louder volume and deeper bass.”
The speakers in the Asus N90X are integrated into the lid, as opposed to the main chassis, which is made of aluminum in this case. Another innovation are dual touchpads positioned at either side of the keyboard, serving as an “intuitive and enjoyable way for you to manage and play your multimedia content”.
The mobile media center also includes a 2MP web camera, microphone, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Gigabit LAN, Bluetooth, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports (one shared with e-SATA), a digital/analog TV tuner, 8-in-1 media card reader, and HDMI and VGA outputs.
It weighs 9.7 lbs with the standard 6-cell battery and comes with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS.
